My Google Business Profile got suspended. How do I fix it?
Don't make a new profile. Read the reason Google gives, fix whatever broke its rules, then file an appeal in Google's Business Profile appeals tool with proof your business is real, like a business license or a utility bill showing the same name and address.
Common causes are keywords stuffed into the business name, a home address shown for a business that travels to customers, a PO box or virtual office, two profiles for one business, or lots of big edits at once. In the appeals tool, pick the profile, read the reason, submit the appeal, and attach your evidence: a business license, registration, tax certificate or utility bill whose name and address match the profile exactly. Once you open the evidence form you have 60 minutes to send it. If the appeal is turned down, you can ask for another review with new evidence. Google's steps are here.
For example, a plumber who renamed their profile "Best Plumber Minneapolis 24/7" gets suspended. Change the name back to the real business name, then appeal with the business license.
We keep client profiles inside Google's rules as part of the routine, and we walk you through an appeal if it ever comes to that.
