Is Google My Business the same as Google Business Profile?

Yes. Google renamed Google My Business to Google Business Profile in November 2021. It's the same free listing that puts your business on Google Search and Maps, with your hours, reviews, photos and a Call button. Most people still call it Google My Business.

Google announced the new name on November 4, 2021, and moved most of the editing out of the old app and into Search and Maps. Search your business name while you're signed in to the Google account that manages it, and your profile's tools show up right there. Everything you read about Google My Business, like verification, categories, photos and posts, still applies to Google Business Profile.

For example, when a customer says "I found you on Google My Business", they mean the listing with your reviews that shows up when they search your name, or search "plumber near me" on Maps.
