How do I set up my Google Business Profile the right way?
Use your real business name with nothing added, pick the most specific main category, and verify it. Then fill in everything: your service area or address, hours, phone, website, services, photos of real jobs, and a plain description of what you do and where.
A few things trip people up. Keywords added to the name ("Best Roofer Denver") can get a profile suspended. If customers don't come to you, hide your address and set a service area. Google only allows a profile for a business that meets customers in person, at your place or theirs. Keep the description to what you do and where, with no links or phone numbers in it. After that, the profile rewards steady care: new photos, replies to reviews, and hours that are always right.
For example, a window cleaner working from home would list "Window cleaning service" as the main category, hide the home address, add the towns they drive to, and post a few before and after photos every week.
We set up or fix the profile for every client, link it to their website, and keep it accurate as part of the routine.
