How does AI decide which local business to recommend?
It favors businesses it can confirm from more than one source. AI assistants search the web, then pick businesses whose website, reviews and listings all agree on what they do, where they work and how good they are, and whose pages answer the exact question being asked.
Think of it like asking a friend, who then asks three other friends. If your website says you clean carpets in your town, your Google profile says the same, and your reviews mention carpet cleaning there, the AI has three sources that agree. If your site is thin, your hours differ between listings and your newest review is a year old, it has less to go on and names someone else. Details help too: your services, the towns you cover, price ranges and how soon you can come out.
Someone asks, "Who can get pet stains out of a carpet this week near me?" The business with a page about pet stain removal, that town in its service area and reviews that mention pets is the easy pick.
Keeping all of those in agreement is a big part of our routine fine tuning.
